Planet Shark - Predator or Prey
Created by Grande Exhibitions and a team of experts in sharks, aquaria, marine biology and oceanographic cinematography - Planet Shark is the only comprehensive shark exhibition to tour the world. The exhibition challenges visitors’ fears, misunderstandings and ignorance on the plight of the world’s most feared predator - the shark.
Each module within the exhibition is a chapter in the story of this remarkable animal and humankind’s fascination with it. The exhibit includes; extensive collections of pristine fossil specimens, jaws, shark contraband, protective equipment, dive cages, hunting & commercial fishing equipment, full size casts of a dozen different species including a world record great white, items from famous hollywood films, media propaganda, stunning audio visual, thematic lighting and interactive multimedia displays.
Currently also available with Planet Shark are two very rare specimens never seen in captivity, and very rarely in the wild at this size. A huge freezer display showcases the physical features and discusses the convergent evolutions of its frozen contents; a 500kg Mako shark and 320kg Bluefin tuna, the two fastest species in the ocean.
